On a hot and humid Independence day,
my sister, Alex, had a new baby girl.
I'm so excited that she's here to stay.
Under cap, I wonder, does her hair curl?
Reagan Farkas-Perez is her name.
Of the spelling, I am unsure,
But happy I am just the same.
After an eventful blur,
Six pounds she does weigh.
Our family enthusiastically says, "Yay."
Welcome to the world, Reagan!
